Re-reading an old favorite
So, day two of February break brings me trying to read "Day to Day Assessment in Reading Workshop: Making informed instructional decisions in grades 3-6" which I skimmed a few years ago. I want to really focus my reading instruction and make sure that my teaching is purposeful. I have this fabulous student teacher and I want to make sure I am teaching her to be really focused. I hope that this book will refresh my drive, especially when it comes to reading instruction and assessment. This time of year I tend to get a little lazy, it must be spring fever! What other books do you return to year after year to re-inspire your teaching?
Happy reading!
